Nike Continues Its “Glacier Blue” Embrace On The Women’s Air Force 1 Low

Nike appears to have found somewhat of a go-to in its “Glacier Blue” color as of late. The upcoming “Shine Together” basketball collection features a liberal use of that hue throughout, and lifestyle models like the Nike Pegasus 2K5, Nike Dunk, and Jordan 1 have featured it on a slate of new and upcoming colorways. Having demonstrated a tendency to let similar palettes drape multiple models, the Beaverton brand now taps the women’s Air Force 1 Low for a “Glacier Blue” makeover.

The titular hue floods the entire upper and midsole for an icy look, with gum soles being the only departure from an otherwise monotone design. This pair isn’t a “Special Edition” by that official moniker, but a metallic gold lace dubrae and tongue branding exude a premium look and feel. The shoe’s all-leather base, debossed “Nike Air” branding, and leather sock liner also serve that motto.

While on the topic of icy footwear, check out all-white Air Jordan 39 debuted by Paolo Banchero just before the NBA playoffs tipped off last week.
