Nike Continues The NY vs. NY Series With The Air Force 1 Low

Vibrant colors produce a summer-worthy look.

Nike Continues The NY vs. NY Series With The Air Force 1 Low

The Knicks are in the playoffs and New York City is buzzing with anticipation. With basketball hype levels as high as they’ve been in decades, we’re now learning of Nike’s plans to continue the “NY vs NY” series with another Air Force 1 Low. The shoe’s don’t ode to the Knicks or Nets specifically, but revisit a theme centered around summer hoops throughout the city.

Come June, hoopers from all five borough will congregate at various courts throughout the city as part of Nike’s annual “NY vs NY” circuit, a spectacle that honors the tried and true tradition of street basketball under the Nike umbrella. The circuit’s logo appears on the heel and tongue, naturally, taken in a gradient mix of “Court Blue,” “Hyper Pink,” and “Bright Mandarin” for a lively summer look. A similar pattern splashes on a patent leather Swoosh, matched in material by the tongue and heel panels in light “Aquarius Blue.” Otherwise, an all-white leather base and blue gum soles complete the look.
