The Nike Flyknit Haven Goes Traditional In “Black/Sail”

The Nike Flyknit Haven was announced just months ago alongside its sibling silo, the Nike Flyknit Bloom. Though they approach it from opposite angles, the two new offerings chart forward a new path for Nike’s once-tentpole technology. The moc model at hand continues its understated run by opting for a conservative “Black/Sail” do, set to release this Summer.

There isn’t much to say about the palette working here- black and white is one of the most reliable combinations in the footwear world, and it again does well in this application. However, painted over the profile of the Nike Flyknit Haven, it allows the unorthodox design choices to really shine. The craggly, plush texture of the upper is emphasized, the chief advancement on this model that utilizes Flyknit not only for lightweight hardware but also to create premium cushioning. It’s a philosophy echoed on the midsole, where that same bumpy texture is recreated via a pattern-laden midsole. Though the design remains eye-grabbing, this pair makes for one that you can easily reach for in day-to-day life.
