The “Calm” in Nike Calm Slide comes from the silhouette’s sleek build, and if you had any doubt, Nike’s set to drop three new colorways that are anything but. Almost all Calm Slides to date have been monotone, save for a few Yeezy MX look-alike pairs, but the “Safari Print” pack drops that ethos entirely.
Orange, khaki, and black pairs make up the trio, but the black pair presents as more understated than its counterparts due to its matching spots and base. The other two treatments lend a more clear communication of safari aesthetics through all-over print on the external structure, leaving the footbed and outsole blank so as to refrain from a complete camouflage look.
Monotone pairs will continue being the Calm Slide’s most common and popular makeups, especially given trends spearheaded by Yeezy, but unique treatments such as this look to capture appeal from those seeking a little more individuality.
Expect pairs to hit retailers soon for $50 each, likely in the next few weeks as we delve deeper into spring. Tap our Sneaker Release Dates page for all the latest updates and reference the shopping links below to guide your purchase when the time comes.
