Blood Orange Stains The Suede On The New Balance 1500 Made In UK

Another new colorway celebrates the model's 35th anniversary.

Blood Orange Stains The Suede On The New Balance 1500 Made In UK

New Balance is putting on a clinic when its comes to recent “Made In UK” pairs. The New Balance 991v2 continues to draw eyes through masterful design and color blocking, while the New Balance 1500 presses on in new treatments in celebration of its 35th anniversary. Just weeks after a tried-and-true Grey New Balance 1500 dropped in recognition of that milestone, a new “Blood Orange” pair looks set to hit retailers in the near future.

The shoes lean into a liberal use of hairy suede, taken in the colorway’s titular hue on the toe, quarter, and heel for a distinctive, street-ready look. A soft blue panel complements that treatment well on the forefoot, while the toe box, collar, and tongue present in black so as to not overwhelm the design. Underfoot, the shoe is complete with a multi-colored rubber sole taken in earthy shades of tan, black, and grey to match the laces and lining above.

European retailers look to be eyeing a release on May 9th, but no word has been mentioned regarding a wider global drop. Enjoy official images below and return to our Sneaker Release Dates page for more updates while we hunt down more info.
