The New Balance 530 Arrives In “Dark Olivine”

A sweeping earth-toned switch up.

The New Balance 530 Arrives In “Dark Olivine”

Core silhouettes like the New Balance 9060 and New Balance 550 have catapulted the Boston brand to the center of the sneaker world. While those still are plenty worthy of our attention, underwritten in their wake is the continued excellence of more lowkey models — the New Balance 530 a perfect example of that.

Mostly known for cohesive, monochromatic uppers, this release carves out a new lane for the renewed 530 model. Instead opting to clad each layer of their top section in contrast shades, it emphasizes the wavy, motion-heavy design on display. Swapping between neutral suede and “Dark Olivine” mesh, the material differences on display are also very much spotlighted. With a visible ABZORB unit in the midsole and a gum outsole, the retro inspiration behind the sneaker’s design is on full display, and its palette is entirely street-ready.

The New Balance 530 “Dark Olivine” is available now via NewBalance.com, carrying a $100 retail price. You can find detailed images just ahead to get a full sense of these before you pick them up.
