Updated April 24th, 2024: Detailed images of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Barons” have emerged via @sneakerknockerzllc. A July 20th release date has been reported along with a $120 retail price. The new photos are largely consistent with our first looks, but closer angles elucidate the hardware choices on these. Simply judging off of the visible grain, it would appear this pair utilizes a higher quality leather in their construction than other non-limited releases. Either way, you can get your own sense of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Barons” below via the embedded gallery.

While new general release pairs of the silhouette emerge on a constant basis, 2024 has brought a ton of elevated, high-heat sorts of drops for the Air Jordan 1 Low. We’ve known about a “White/Black/Wolf Grey” pair dropping this summer for a while, but early mock-ups have differed in presentation, hardly a surprise given Jordan Brand’s extensive use of those colors. Thankfully, first images courtesy of @sharkicks1 clear up all speculation.

A new take on the classic black, grey and white color palette, the darkest spots come at the laces and the heel cup, that section stretching through the Swoosh. A light grey dresses the outsole and leather overlays, with everything else dipped in platinum white. Those tapped into sneakers in the 2010s will instantly recognize the neutral shade from the Air Jordan 1 High “Barons” and Air Jordan 9 counterpart, both released in 2014. Though it’s been a bit since MJ’s baseball career was referenced in a mainline JB release, it still succeeds after some time on the shelf.

It’s an accessible and easily-worn color scheme, one that’s been iterated on heavily in the 2024 Jordan Brand slate at large and on this model specifically. Drops like the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low “Shadow,” and Air Jordan 1 Low “Metallic Silver” showcase how much grey is in the spotlight for the summery version of Mike’s first signature shoe.

Current indications point towards a July 20th release. Until then, enjoy initial images below and check out our Jordan Release Dates page for all the latest updates.
