Air Jordan 9 “Cool Grey” Releasing In Spring 2025

The 2002 classic is back.

Air Jordan 9 “Cool Grey” Releasing In Spring 2025

Jordan Brand’s 2025 is shaping up to be an absolute monster of a year, and with a number of key anniversary milestones coinciding next year, it could be among the best in recent memory — and admittedly a much-needed comeback. Joining the celebrated news of the return of the Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic” and the Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game” next year, it is now being reported that the Air Jordan 9 “Cool Grey” will also see a release in Spring 2025.

Although not an original colorway, anything “Cool Grey” has held comparable esteem. First debuting on the Air Jordan 11 in 2001, Jordan Brand interpreted that neutral color-scheme onto the Air Jordan 9. In fact, the Cool Grey Jordan 9 is the only instance in which Michael Jordan himself wore the ninth model in an NBA game, doing so during a pre-season game as a member of the Washington Wizards.

The Cool Grey 9s later released again in 2012, but it’s been over a dozen years since this classic has seen the light of day. Now, you can fully expect them next year as part of the Jordan Release Dates 2025 calendar.

In other Spring 2025 Jordan news, the Jordan 3 “Lucky Shorts” releases in full family sizes on February 22nd.
