The adidas Samba “Italy” Features The Colors Of The Nation’s Flag

Country-themed sneakers are almost too easy for adidas. The brand’s iconic Three Stripes logo often mimics the look of various flags, and several “World Tour” collections have offered unique looks pertaining to different locales, particularly within Europe.

Now adding to adidas’ catalog of country-specific footwear is an “Italy” take on the adidas Samba, complete with green/red stripes and a white heel. Grey suede encompasses the entire upper, a choice that’s mirrored by a semi-translucent gum sole, while gold tongue branding lends a slightly elevated feel.

While this pair could easily be co-opted by other countries with green/red/white flags, adidas’ ties to Italy in particular warrant the unofficial nickname. Notably, adidas released a “Made In Italy” Samba crafted from fine Italian leather earlier this year.
