The Nike Doernbecher Freestyle is back in 2024 for its monumental twentieth edition, and we’ve got the exclusive on what sneaker models are confirmed to drop later this year.
Now two decades running, the Doernbecher Freestyle program, which pairs up child patients of OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital with designers at Nike, has generated over $37 million for the hospital as of the end of 2023. The figure will easily surpass the $40 million mark with the line-up of footwear, which consists of a healthy mix of retro classics and modern-day hits.
For the 2024 Nike Doernbecher Freestyle XX collection, the shoes are as follows: the Air Jordan 6 Retro, the Nike Air Max Dn (two colorways), the Nike Air 180, the Nike Air Max SNDR WMNS, and the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 41.
The Nike Doernbecher shoes typically do not release until the final quarter of the year following a fundraiser event in Portland, OR. The entirety of the profits from retail sales of the Doernbecher Freestyle program are donated directly to the Oregon Health Sciences University Foundation benefiting Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
Stay tuned for first looks and more.
