Sneaker News Give credit to adidas, because they were ahead of the Tech Runner wave with the Response CL. This 2000s-era running shoe made return to stores back in August of 2020 at the height of the global lockdown, but it went by largely unnoticed as pairs eventually hit the sales racks. However, the German brand kept at it, bringing the silhouette to the masses with the help of Bad Bunny while offering some impressive in-line releases in the meantime.
This brand new colorway of the Response CL caught our eye because it’s got that perfect “tech runner” recipe. Silver overlays above black underlays, white sport mesh, and a cream-tinted midsole has been a working formula for its competitors like the GEL-Kayano 14, Zoom Vomero 5, and the New Balance 1906R; frankly, it looks just as good on the Response CL.
Pairs have surfaced at Australia’s Up There and should be available on adidas.com soon for $140.
