Updated April 20th, 2024: The Nike Book 1 “Hike” launches via SNKRS and select retailers on April 20th. It carries a slightly elevated $150 price tag, ostensibly justified via the premium snakeskin and suede that dominates this pair. Originally scheduled for an April 6th release, a handful of stores did end up releasing stock on that date, even after the SNKRS launch was postponed. Now the Nike Book 1 “Hike” is set for its widest release yet. Our “Where To Buy” section just ahead contains up-to-date links containing links to each retailer launching Book’s latest signature shoe.

Devin Booker has been known to walk off the beaten path, and with this upcoming Book 1 release, he’s doing just that. This latest “Hike” colorway, covered in a gamut of exotic animal prints and patterns, is inspired by his jaunts through the desert wilderness in Phoenix and fauna he encounters on the trail, and he’s bringing his experiences to you in sneaker form on April 6th.
Rattlesnakes, other snakeskins, furry hair panels, and croc prints come forward in this 80s-focused design. The mudguard and heel contain that standard scaly look, while the croc pattern appears via an embossed textured suede at the toe-box and Swoosh. Rattlesnake skins dominate the primary quarter panel on the upper, while a hairy panel lines the collar. These are truly reminiscent of the various “Animal Pack” and “Wild Beast” iterations of Nike classics, but Booker’s drawing up his own chapter with this highly-anticipated release.
Again, this Nike Book 1 is scheduled to drop on April 6th and given the elevated execution via the choice materials, an MSRP is set for $150.
