Tim Anderson Is A “Big Deal” On The Nike Alpha Huarache NXT Cleat

Oversized typography stakes its claim on the baseball PE.

Tim Anderson Is A “Big Deal” On The Nike Alpha Huarache NXT Cleat

Few players champion professional baseball’s “Let The Kids Play” initiative like Tim Anderson. The freshly minted Miami Marlins shortstop plays with a chip on his shoulder and doesn’t shy away from the big moment – two qualities worth celebrating through Player Edition footwear. When the time comes for Anderson to take the field on Opening Day on March 28th, he’ll be able do so in his very own Nike Alpha Huarache NXT cleat.

The two-time All-Star’s next PE adopts a predominantly grey design packed with multi-colored accents and custom branding. Anderson’s signature “TA” logo appears on the medial collar cushion, but the most imposing detail appears underfoot with oversized “Big Deal” typography, the athlete’s personal motto. Otherwise, paint-splattered treatments appear over a dark grey Swoosh for a lively mix, matched on the laces and outsole against white backgrounds. Red pull tabs on the tongue and heel allow for easy on/off access, while a yellow and green heel counter helps brighten the look further.

From a performance standpoint, the cleat comes with Nike React foam and Zoom Air technology to ensure both comfort and stability, especially when being tested with sharp movements as is the norm for infielders.

No release date has been set at the time of this writing, but best estimates peg the cleat for an early Spring release alongside the return of baseball season. Enjoy official images below and visit our Sneaker Release Dates page while we hunt down news of a firm drop date.
