The ASICS GEL-Terrain Treks On In “Birch”

ASICS keeps adding to its selection of GEL-Terrain offerings, now unveiling another clean look by way of a new “Birch” colorway. The Japanese brand appears to be pushing a mainstay narrative for its newest trail-ready shoe, the model already having been graced with a Kiko Kostadinov collaboration and a wide selection of inline looks since its late 2023 rollout.

This latest “Birch” pair is perhaps the most understated design to date, the shoe’s synchronous base and TPU detailing combining to produce a familiar, simple contemporary aesthetic. Caramel-esque logo and heel treatments serve as the design’s main focal point, leveraging a slightly darker hue for contrast without departing from the design’s non-imposing look. From a performance standpoint, the GEL-Terrain’s lightweight, no-sew construction renders it a reliable pick-up for outdoor wear, made even more attractive by the addition of a speed lacing system.
