The arrival of Ishod Wair’s second signature shoe has sparked lots of buzz, more than what’s typical for new Nike SB silhouettes. The Nike Ishod 2, aka “Wair Max,” proposes a design suitable for both high-performance skate and casual wear, leaning into celebrated Air Max aesthetics to attract a wide case of sneaker fanatics both inside and out of the skater community.

Already released in red and blue colorways, the Nike Ishod 2 now dresses in a look favored by many at the heart of skate culture, complete with an all-black base and gum soles. This delivery represents a continuation of a common Nike SB design theme, the black/gum look most recently taking to the Nike SB Dunk Low late last year. Some diehard skaters attribute their fandom of black/gum shoes to the design’s ability to cover heavy damage/wear, while others simply have fondness for the palette as a whole. The latest Ishod 2 installment appeases all those sensibilities.

No nike.com release date has been set at the time of this writing, and it remains to be seen if the shoes will surface online at all.
