With the huge success of the Jordan Spiz’ike Low this year, it seems more likely than ever that hybrid Jordan sneakers could be back in a big way. As that shoe creeps towards its half-year mark, the minds at JB are shifting focus at least momentarily to another member of the catalog. The Jordan 6 Rings in “White/Metallic Gold/Armory Navy” slide in as a brand new look for the championship mashup shoe.
In a rare move for Jordan hybrid silhouettes, the tones employed here are nearly without comparison on their parent, composite models. This specific “Armory Navy,” dark teal hue hasn’t ever taken to any of the 6 shoes that make up the 6 Rings, be it the 6, 7, 8 or the 11, 12 or 14. However, the white-dominant layout certainly strikes familiar.
As a result, this pair still carries a classic atmosphere despite that lack of easy comparison points. Driving that emphasis on storied tradition home, “Metallic Gold” accents drape the Jumpman logos and “Two 3” text down the tongue, reminding buyers about Mike’s winning ways should they ever forget.
Arriving in GS sizing (3.5Y – 7Y), the 6 Rings “White/Armory Navy” will retail at $135. Instead of a set release date, anticipate a rolllout of these to retailers and the Nike website in the next handful of weeks.
