A Hypnotic, Valentine’s Theme Permeates The Puma Stewie 2 “Mi Amor”

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Breanna Stewart and Puma are rising to the occasion, unveiling the newest “Mi Amor” color way of the Puma Stewie 2 for a holiday-themed drop.

Since the first Puma Stewie 2 “Ruby,” the WNBA star’s signature shoe has pulled from what she holds dearest for inspiration. That debut edition was dedicated to her daughter, and at first glance, it might be easy to attribute the same familial ties to these. Built on a similarly rosy foundation, the “Mi Amor” instead devoted to basketball itself, meant to “celebrate your number 1 love – Love for the Game.” An all-over, geometric heart print lays that bare, but the repeated drop shadow behind each one lends a distinctly psychedelic bend to the colorway. Of course, as one of Puma’s key performance models, the Puma Stewie 2 isn’t sacrificing any of its on-court potential in this new look. They still boast the imprint’s proprietary Nitrofoam in their midsole, intended to be a simultaneously responsive and weightless piece of footwear.

With their newest version, the Puma Stewie 2 attempts to thread the needle, letting you break hearts while you’re breaking ankles. They’re available now via the Puma website and Puma app in sizes 5.5 through 12. They command a retail price of $125.

If this high-octane signature shoe is up your alley, check out a similar pair with the Cheetos x PUMA Scoot Zero.
