The adidas Attitude Hi Returns After Ten Years In “Collegiate Red”

The NYC staple makes a long-awaited return.

The adidas Attitude Hi Returns After Ten Years In “Collegiate Red”

After ten long years, the adidas Attitude Hi is finally back.

For the uninformed, the Attitude Hi debuted back in 1986 as Patrick Ewing’s signature shoe, treated to a New York Knicks colorway that saw its last retro in 2014. Jeremy Scott has also made an imprint on the silhouette, using it as a canvas for a myriad of collaborations, but the model has otherwise been dormant in the adidas archives until now.

Not to be confused with the Forum Hi, the Attitude boasts the same 80s basketball aesthetics as some of today’s most popular adidas lifestyle models. Standout features include retro adidas Basketball branding on the tongue and a trefoil heel logo, taking us back to the days of short shorts and hardnose play styles. More retro-inspired details appear on the stripes, adorned in cracked collegiate red leather, and on the ivory-colored laces and midsole to complete the shoe.

While we don’t have word on whether or not the Attitude Hi is primed for more releases, the simple color blocking scheme on this pair could suggest more colorways are on their way.
