The Plain “White/Gum” Air Force 1 Receives The Sustainable Nod For Spring 2024

Save for some tumbled leather detailing on the upper, the upcoming “Next Nature” Air Force 1 isn’t anything revolutionary- at least at first glance. But the updated take on the “all white forces” instead is intriguing in composition, a version of the AF1 partially made up of recycled materials.

Bearing the “move to zero” logo on the insole, these Air Forces represent Nike’s efforts to make their products more ecologically sustainable. Since first introducing the initiative with the Space Hippie line in 2020, the brand has tried their hand at more “green” takes on their core silhouettes- with the first iteration of Air Forces in that regard being the all-vegan Billie Eillish pair in 2021.

Each shoe rolled out under this umbrella is made up of at least 20% recycled materials, and this all white/gum sole pair will of course fit that bill. No concrete release date has been confirmed as of right now, but a retail price has- these will come with the typical AF1 retail price of $130. So be on the lookout for these at local retailers in the short term.
