Nike’s Air Max Scorpion launched in mid-2022. Over the past year, the silhouette has expanded visible Air cushioning’s legacy while demonstrating what’s possible.
The extra-cushioned model was the first sneaker project entirely-developed through remote collaboration. Not to harken on the time between 2020 and 2022, but meetups in-person were not advised. Through virtual meetings, 3D-technology, and other innovative tools, the Swoosh’s team was able to develop a working version of its boldest Air Max product yet, launching it at retailers by Summer 2022. Flyknit uppers deliver a familiar fit on the pair, while layered cushioning solutions propelled any wearer into the future. The Air Max Scorpion isn’t a shoe for everyone, but its inherently bold nature has been tamed a bit via tonal color palettes. The latest offering arrives in shades of pink, providing a soft makeover to the eye-catching shoe. Stacked Air bubbles, however, keep things simple in a relatively clear finish, allowing for the upper’s rosy makeover to steal the spotlight.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a nike.com launch in the first-half of 2024. The Air Max Scorpion is priced at $250 USD.
