The Gallery Dept. x ASICS GT-2160 Arrives On December 15th

Synonymous with luxury and high-fashion art installations, Gallery Dept. has become a frequent collaborator in the sneaker ecosystem throughout 2023. Featuring a duo of collaborations with Vans and previewing their first collaborative effort with ASICS in March, the LA-based brand will be tying the community over in the meantime with the release of their once Complex-Con exclusive ASICS GT-2160.

The OG 2000s racing solution starts as a typical inline release from the Japan-based brand with a black and white mesh base layer harkening to the model’s decades-old nostalgia. Blank white hues further consume the midsole and laces while a jet-black trim clarifies the “Pure Silver” mid-foot tiger stripe for a compelling departure from the monochrome background. Elsewhere, a lively assortment of blues touch down throughout the heel, tread and the uppers accenting leather overlays. What’s more, the silhouette is stamped with an artistic allure as a multi-color paint splatter converges across the forefoot and midsole while bright yellow co-branded Gallery Dept’ hang tabs and insoles further illuminate the reserved yet expressive palette.

The Gallery Dept. x ASICS GT-2160 is scheduled to release nationwide on December 15th at 11 am ET for a retail price of $295. This is the third and final release for the pair after a debut at ComplexCon in mid-November followed by a Gallery Dept. exclusive drop on December 7th. In the meantime, the pair can be seen ahead in detailed imagery.

In other news, the online draw for the Joe Freshgoods x NB 990v4 “1998” closes on December 15th
