Nike’s Air Force 1 Lover Wild Mule Appears In “Earth”

Another update to Bruce Kilgore's basketball icon.

Nike’s Air Force 1 Lover Wild Mule Appears In “Earth”

With innovation at the core of its design ethos, Nike’s recent foray into the slip-on-dominated market of footwear has been met with both appreciation and hesitancy. From silhouettes like the widely-regarded Calm Slide to Jordan’s divisive Hex Clog, the Beaverton brand is taking another crack at the clog craze with a bit of Air Force 1 inspiration.

Returning the Air Force 1 Lover Wild Mule that debuted in 2018 alongside the brand’s women’s exclusive Reimagined collection, the low-top trim combines the sole unit of the classic 1982 tooling with a plush interior and molded clog construction. Boasting equal parts of rugged and refined aesthetics, the sleek tumbled leather upper mirrors the perforated vamp that adorns the iconic Bruce Kilgore design while the heel is slopped down for an inviting entry point. Cured exclusively in a dark shade of “Earth” the chocolate-reminiscent hue combines with seldom “Racer Blue” logos and “Phantom” pull tabs at the heel.

The Nike Air Force 1 Lover Wild Mule is currently available overseas via the store list below. While we await news regarding a stateside release, the pair can be seen ahead in detailed imagery.

In other news form the Beaverton brand, the SoleFly Jordan 8 releases on December 8th.
