Nike’s Retro P-6000 Returns In “Sail” And With Reflective Laces

The Y2K-friendly runner gets a modern update.

Nike’s Retro P-6000 Returns In “Sail” And With Reflective Laces

At its core, Nike, Inc. is a running company, producing reliable styles like the Pegasus year-after-year. Over the decades, the Oregon-based conglomerate has inadvertently become a fashion institution, and designs like the Nike P-6000 have advanced this side of the business.

A mashup of the Pegasus 25 and Pegasus 2006, cousins with the Pegasus 2005 set to retro in 2024, the P-6000 features everything lovable about old school running models. A breathable mesh base allows for airflow and comfort, while mixed materials overlays deliver durability and forward visuals. Although the hybrid design is rooted in the past, its “Sail/Black/Reflect Silver/Lime Blast” makeover includes a speed lace modification that injects modernity into the shoe. The toggle-assisted system works with elastic laces for easy on-and-off wear as well as visibility in dim lighting conditions.

Underfoot, the retro model shares some similarities with the popular Zoom Vomero 5, but forgoes the Cushlon and Duralon setup. Other, budget-friendlier cushioning and traction solutions are used on the “Sail” P-6000 without sacrificing Nike’s heritage design language. Lastly, a vibrant green animates stability bars as it does branding up-top.

Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead. Firm stateside nike.com release details haven’t been disclosed by the brand as of this writing, but the shoes have already appeared at outposts overseas. Whenever the women’s pair lands in the US, it’ll be priced at $120 USD.
