After receiving a revitalization last November in the form of the model’s OG “Georgetown” colorway, the Nike Terminator has since fallen into a vein of celebration as the once Hoya-exclusive now adheres to the sights and sounds of five HBCUs through the Beaverton brand’s fourth iteration of the Yardrunner’s Program. With the latter set to begin releasing over the Holiday season, the inaugural team basketball shoe has since returned to its Be True To Your School roots with the likes of UNLV.
Albeit through a low-top iteration, the Nike Terminator’s latest school-based color-blocking draws direct inspiration from its Dunk Low counterpart that initially debuted in the 1985 collection. Evoking nostalgia with each overlay, the Runnin’ Rebels aesthetic is draped in full throughout the low-top trim as a dark “Pewter Grey” fills the vamp, mid-foot, heel overlay and tongue construction while a singular crisp white accent illuminates the midsole. Elsewhere, a striking set of “University Reds” are cast in contrast along the mudguard, profile swoosh and heel tab before simultaneously exploring the heel’s 80s-style Nike logo and inner lining.
The Nike Terminator Low “UNLV” hasn’t received a release date just yet. So in the meantime, the pair can be seen below in detailed imagery.
In other news, the Air Jordan 5 is preparing a few releases in the next few weeks.
