A little over a week has passed since news broke that adidas would be canceling its remaining releases for 2023. At the time it wasn’t quite clear if the German sportswear behemoth was officially done selling off its remaining Yeezy branded inventory or if the brand would await a future slate of releases. Thanks to information confirmed by brandon1an on Twitter, the latter instead served as a hiatus with the next round of adidas Yeezy footwear currently set to release sometime in 2024.
One such offering that was initially expected to be released this year is the forthcoming “Cream/Gum” iteration of the adidas Yeezy 500 that’s since been delayed to an indefinite 2024 release. Following a vein of neutral-based applications that most recently arrived in a “Bone White” ensemble in August, the circa 2018 silhouette extends a richer collection of hues. From the airy mesh upper to the suede textured overlays that extend from toe to heel, the entirety of the above real estate is cured in a tonal “Cream” treatment. In contrast, the adiPRENE cushioned sole unit is cast in a crisp white shade that’s juxtaposed through the appearance of a classic gum outsole.
The adidas Yeezy 500 “Cream/Gum” is currently expected to release in 2024. While we await news regarding a specific release date, the silhouette can be seen above in first-look imagery.
In other news, the Jordan 11 “Neapolitan” releases on November 11th.
