When LeBrons Collide: The Nike Air Zoom Generation Collides With The NXXT Gen

UPDATED December 20th, 2023: Official images have been added.

On October 29th, 2023, Nike honors the 20th Anniversary of LeBron James’ first career regular season game with a special LeBron NXXT Gen colorway infused with Air Zoom Generation DNA. As it turns out, that model was not a one-off for the King, because his loyal followers will be getting a chance to cop the model too.

We bring you a first look at the Zoom LeBron NXXT Gen x Air Zoom Generation model in a wild, unhinged combination of colors arranged in what we can only call “What The” styling. Alternating its choice of shades on the left and right shoe, this upcoming release appears more like a wild mix of multi-color rather than a true “What The” experience as the chosen hues appear rather random.

Where this model shines is how Nike perfectly executed this hybrid. It seems to be equal parts NXXT Gen and Zoom Gen, with the stacked Swoosh logos and upper layout appeasing both the older era and current era silhouettes. The cushioning platform, however, is purely NXXT Gen.

As of now, a firm release date is unknown, but a late 2023/early 2024 drop is likely.
