Jovani Hernandez With only a few days left to October, Nike, Inc. stole every sneaker-related headline with its SNKRS Showcase.
Hosted by Complex alum and podcast-extraordinaire Brandon “Jinx” Jenkins, the hour-long event served as a digital guide to some of the Swoosh’s plans for 2024. A total of 40 different styles of shoes were revealed to an audience of more than 70,000 digital spectators, ranging from Air Max to ACG. Much of the sentiment across “sneaker social media” was positive, with some even lauding the brand for getting ahead of leakers. Nike will likely hold more of these events in the future, but for now, it’s given consumers a lot to start saving up for.
In other sneaker headlines, the Air Jordan 12 “Cherry” releases tomorrow, October 28th; another Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance collection dropped; and adidas Yeezy releases planned for November were postponed indefinitely.
