Victor Wembanyama Headlines Nike’s Rookie Class Of 2023

Just ahead of the start of the NBA season, Nike has officially unveiled its 2023 Draft Class signees. Headlined by Victor Wembanyma, the Beaverton brand has expanded its dominance over the League once again by signing 13 total draftees.

With roughly 70 percent of NBA players sporting The Swoosh since becoming the League’s official apparel sponsor in 2017, Nike has continued to maintain a relatively large amount of newly minted athletes each season, having signed 14 players in 2022 and eight in 2021. The newest additions to the roster include; Anthony Black, Kobe Brown, Bilal Coulibaly, Keyonte George, Jordan Hawkins, Dereck Lively II, Olivier-Maxence Prosper, No. 2 overall pick Brandon Miller, both Amen and Ausar Thompson, Julian Strawther and Cason Wallace.

Led by the reigning No. 1 overall pick and GT Squad endorser, Wembanyama has quickly confirmed his generational talent while swatting away shots with ease and dribbling through defenders like cones while dawning the Nike GT Run. Representing a vast amount of player archetypes and on-court necessities, the GT Series will surely see a wide range of use across the 2023 Rookie Class while players like Miller have already shown an affinity for Kobe’s Protro line.

In other news from the Beaverton brand, the Jordan 38 Low “Sail/Pink” recently surfaced in first-look imagery.
