Since he was eleven years old, Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has been sporting the swoosh. After signing a multi-year extension with Nike in 2021, the reigning fans’ Player of the Year reportedly has his own version of the Nike Air Max Pulse in the works, which has since been confirmed thanks to the appearance of official imagery.
While the latest tooling in the Max Air family will be Rashford’s first official design to be released to the public, the 25-year-old is more than familiar with the Beaverton brand’s air-infused elements – having been gifted a custom Air Max Plus PE designed by LORENZ.OG just last month. Exploring well over a dozen colorways since the model’s inception this past Spring, the Air Max Pulse engages in a tonal set of greyscale hues as the sole unit and upper overlay are split between light and dark shades. Bridging the latter together is a jet-black tongue construction that stretches further with pitch-dark color matches to the inner lining and laces.
Much like the AM Plus “Marseille”, a vectorized collection of swooping lines lay claim to the ever-so-faint blue upper while seldom orange accents illuminate the heel’s swoosh. Lastly, the insoles are reserved for a splash of color as a neon volt tint transitions into a blood-red heel that bears “When you believe in yourself, incredible things can happen”.
