“Thunder Blue” And “Saturn Gold” Are Offset On The Latest Nike SB Leo Baker

As the most recent signature rider to join Nike’s skateboarding roster, Leo Baker introduces a number of archival elements within his mid-top model. Mirroring the over and under color blocking of the Nike Dunk’s historic Be True to Your School collection from the mid-80s, the latest SB Leo Baker explores an extension of the famed “Michigan” colorway.

Boasting an overwhelming amount of versatile color blockings thanks to the model’s layered aesthetic, the two-toned upper has been cascaded by a washed treatment. Supple suede builds out the entirety of the upper’s overlays, dipped in a vintage navy tint while the tongue construction and leather profile swooshes ascertain further color matches. Elsewhere, the leather vamp, heel collar and the quarter’s monogram detailing are cured in a faint “Saturn Gold” treatment, illuminating the pitch-dark surroundings and jet-black contrasts that clarify the tread and laces.

The Nike SB Leo Baker “Thunder Blue/Saturn Gold” is expected to release in the coming weeks for a retail price of $95. In the meantime, the pair can be seen in detailed imagery ahead.

For more from underneath the Nike SB banner, the Dunk High “Sweet Tooth” is scheduled to release on October 20th.
