From founding not one but two very successful labels to taking up the mantle as Artistic Director of BLACKPINK, Verdy is easily among one of the most prolific graphic designers/illustrators to come out of Japan. And after more than four years since his last collaboration with the Swoosh, the man is finally bringing the “Girls Don’t Cry” mark back to the Nike SB Dunk Low.
Back in 2019 — when street culture was abuzz with the artist’s name — Verdy joined Nike SB for a collaborative pair of Dunk Lows. Featuring a near all-red colorway with the famous “Girls Don’t Cry” logo, the shoes, though highly-anticipated, were only available in Japan. Thankfully, a sequel is rumored to be on the way, with leaker @jfgrails reporting that both a F&F and GR colorway are currently in the works.
At the time of writing this, no images of the upcoming Girls Don’t Cry x Nike SB Dunk Low have been revealed. That’ll likely change very soon, however, so sit tight and stay tuned for future updates.
Speaking of SB, a Futura Nike SB Dunk Low is also on the way.
