The adidas Samba Joins The XLG Movement In Two Essential Colorways

The adidas Samba Joins The XLG Movement In Two Essential Colorways

As one of the brand’s longest-running silhouettes in production, the adidas Samba has been worn from the pitch to concrete jungles around the world. After decades of experimenting with subliminal updates, the 3-Stripes flagship model has since been reimagined through the brand’s upcoming XLG movement.

Introduced via the Superstar and Forum, the Samba XLG reimagines its proportions and design ethos for a contemporary audience. Boasting an exaggerated platform sole unit, the silhouette retains its staple full-grain leather upper with subtle suede mudguards. The inclusion of an EVA sock liner achieves a higher level of comfort for the iconic model while the pair’s striking profile 3-Stripes have been beefed up just a tad. Gold foil lettering maintains its typical appearance along the serrated stripes while the silhouette simultaneously prepares a duo of overtly familiar color blockings.

As we await further release details, the adidas Samba XLG can be seen in official imagery below.

For more 3-Stripes footwear, the KITH Classics x adidas capsule recently surfaced.
