Vans Teams Up With The Mac Miller Estate To Celebrate The 5-Year Anniversary Of Swimming

Today, August 3rd, marks the five-year anniversary of Mac Miller’s fifth studio album: “Swimming.” To celebrate the occasion — as well as the life and career of the late artist — the Mac Miller Estate has teamed up with Vans for a collaboration long overdue.

Longtime fans of Mac Miller are well aware of his love of Vans, as he frequently wore a pair of black Authentics. It’s only fitting that this silhouette be the vehicle for his first collaborative effort with the brand, though it’s unfortunate that he was never able to bring such a project to life himself. Here, the classic sneaker is dressed as usual, featuring a black canvas upper and white sole unit. The “Swimming in Circles” graphic is then embroidered atop the toe box, albeit with its usual text replaced with “SWIMMING BY MAC MILLER.” Additional nods to Easy Mac’s life and work are also laid along the pair’s midsole and packaging.
