Sneaker News First revealed by Sneaker News back in April, the women’s Air Force 1 Wild has now surfaced via official images — so let’s take a closer inspection.
Clearly cosplaying as a hiking shoe fit for the ACG quarters of Beaverton, this Air Force 1 Wild makes use of proper transformations that call back to some of Nike’s best outdoor performance shoes. The patterned heel is a clear nod to the Air Humara, while the nylon toe-box and mid-panel could be an homage to the Lavadome. Even the stitching patterns on the heel nod to several different ACG styles such as the ACG Air Mada.
Beyond the aesthetics, Nike has done a solid job in rendering these functional for the wild outdoors. The added padding at the heel and the reinforced outsole make these perfect for the trail, but there’s ample street lifestyle sensibility should you look to regain your gorpcore look for Fall/Winter 2023.
