As one of the newest editions to New Balance’s nostalgic-heavy archives, the 9060 has quickly explored a versatile range of textures. Recently, the Y2K era-inspired solution added yet another textile to its growing list of installations through a dominant use of hairy pony-like suede.

The lush detailing sprouts across the pair’s overlays, surrounding the mid-foot N logo and flat suede tongue construction. The surrounding suede panels and mesh base layer further indulge the jet-black allure above. Juxtaposing its enlarged sole unit even further, the ABZORB cushioning system assumes a calm neutral-based palette in stark contrast to the pitch-dark upper while a greyscale tread smooths things over underfoot.
