Natural Leathers Dress Up This Newly-Revealed Nike Cortez

Natural Leathers Dress Up This Newly-Revealed Nike Cortez

When Hender Scheme first unveiled their replica sneakers — specifically, their take on the Air Jordan 4 — brands were quick to follow in designer Ryo Kashiwazaki’s example. The Swoosh, for instance, would go on to craft many of their most iconic models out of natural leather, such as the Air Force 1 and even the Air Jordan 1. And though not quite as prevalent today, Nike is now revisiting this execution with this upcoming Cortez.

Unlike Kashiwazaki’s work, this Nike Cortez is not constructed exclusively out of tanned leathers. Matching both the lace unit as well as the midsole, the Swoosh and heel tab are dressed in a white neutral finish. The rest of the upper, however, is dressed in the natural finish, which wraps from the toe cap through to the heel.

Enjoy a closer look at this upcoming Nike Cortez via the official images ahead. These should be available on Nike.com and at select retailers within the next few months.

In other news, Kyrie Irving just signed a deal with ANTA.
