From the 2018 Philadelphia-exclusive New Balance 998 to their most recent glow-in-the-dark New Balance 90/60s, DTLR has proven to be an effective routine collaborator with the Boston-based brand. For the two entities’ next installment, the New Balance 990v4 brings a familiar multi-color grandeur that serves as a sequel to the collaborative “Wild Style” colorway.
The latest ensemble breaks open a box of crayons for a titular collection of hues that share a monochrome base layer. The model’s mesh underlays achieve a sleek greyscale appearance while the messy suede panels above lie in a stark jet-black treatment. Hits of yellow invigorate the collar lining, tread and mid-foot N logo while sky blue and crimson shades accent the background of the pitch-dark overlays. While lime green tones anchor the heel and tongue tabs, the midsole employs an amalgamation of violet, blue and white in closing.
The DTLR x New Balance 990v4 “Wild Style” 2.0 is expected to release in grade school, pre-school and toddler sizes on July 14th. The collaboration will additionally release in adult sizing, most likely in men’s.
