The Nike Terminator Low is just one of several offerings from the brand’s recent trip to its 1980s archive.
Although the silhouette has emerged in classic ensembles, including those inspired by college basketball programs sponsored by the Swoosh in the past, it’s also taken on new outfits. One such modern ensemble is a black, anthracite, and dark gum-covered pair that recently surfaced via official photography. The pair features a smooth leather base, but panels around the forefoot and along the tongue opt for a hairy suede makeup. Additionally, profile swooshes and upper heel overlays favor the textured fabric instead of supple leather construction. Underfoot, sole units keep things simple, as they did in 1985. The herringbone-patterned traction delivers the same reliable grip that it did decades ago, although it’s unlikely anyone will be hooping in the retro.
No firm nike.com launch date has been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official photos of the pair ahead.
