New Balance seems to expect big things from the 610. Though brought back at the beginning of the year, the sneaker has already teamed up with a few of the brand’s biggest partners: Joe Freshgoods, Bodega, and soon even Aminé. COMME des GARÇONS HOMME, too, has taken an interest in the newly-reintroduced model, debuting not one but two collaborative renditions during their SS24 show.
COMME des GARÇONS HOMME has approached the New Balance 610 in two very different ways. The first is much more faithful to the original design, albeit dressed in a simple, all-white colorway and branded with the Japanese label’s namesake. Its counterpart — which opts for an all-black palette — is much more unique in its construction, transforming the silhouette from a trail runner into a more casual, slip-on style called the 610T Mule.
Enjoy a closer look at COMME des GARÇONS HOMME’s upcoming New Balance 610s ahead. Given that they were unveiled alongside the brand’s SS24 collection, it’s likely we won’t be seeing the pairs again until later next year.
In other news, the thisisneverthat New Balance 550 was also revealed during Paris Fashion Week.
