Eastside Golf and Jordan Brand are at it again, this time outfitting the Air Jordan 1 for the green.
As part of the Black-owned golf brand’s “1961” collection, the modified original Air Jordan champions change, as displayed on its lateral heel. The pair follows a “Bred” color-blocking with panels at the toe, profile swooshes, ankle flaps, and lower heel donning rich green flair; the space in-between keeps things simple in black. Yet, the Air Jordan 1 Golf is special, as denoted by a number of key differences from a standard golf-ready Air Jordan.
Handwritten “Eastside Golf” text appears on the side swooshes, cementing the Black-owned business as a notable collaborator for Jordan Brand. The company’s signature golf player logo lands on the top of the tongue. “Wings” logos on the lateral ankle flap opt for a shimmering golden finish that’s also appeared on other pairs from Eastside Golf’s “1961” collection. Lastly, “Change.” is etched onto the heel of the golf cleat, calling out the PGA Tour’s lift of the ban on non-White players.
Enjoy an early look at the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch soon.
