The “dad shoe” trend that took flight a handful of years back hasn’t gone away. In fact, the trend has given way to designs like the adidas Orketro 2.0, a lifestyle model inspired by the early 2000s.
Based on the performance-oriented Orketro, the latest sneaker from the Three Stripes features a number of overlays across its upper. Porous mesh is replaced with a lightweight fabric construction that takes on an iridescent “Solar Green” finish. “Core Black” and “Matte Silver” tones also appear throughout the upper, creating a muted, but eye-catching arrangement on the retro-inspired shoe. Underfoot, adiPRENE cushioning favors a pitch-dark look that allows for the hits of purple, blue, and green that animate the upper to revel in the spotlight.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, as you wait for an adidas.com launch on June 15th for $160 USD.
