Jared Ebanks Next Friday the DC Cinematic Universe is going to be upended when Barry Allen triggers a Flashpoint Paradox in The Flash. But before we meet Supergirl, a younger Barry and the return of Michael Keaton’s Batman, BAIT has its own supersonic plans in the works featuring a collaborative PUMA RS-X celebrating the film’s launch.
Inspired by the brand’s Running System cushioning technology from the mid-80s yet made for the streets, the PUMA RS-X has been privy to a number of pop-culture collabs, from 2018’s Transformers colorway to the recent release of Final Fantasy XIV. Crafted to harness the lightning-quick essence of the fastest man alive, the silhouette looks to the character’s iconic maroon and golden yellow color scheme for a visual tribute bearing lightning bolt motifs. Illuminating the latter, collar lining, the tread of the heel and insole branding in vibrant yellow, the surrounding composition receives a glut of wine-red hues while jet-black detailing depicts the superhero’s mechanized suit.
The BAIT x Warner Bros. x PUMA RS-X “The Flash” is currently available at BAIT’s Los Angeles storefront for a retail price of $160. In the meantime, enjoy official imagery of the pair below as we await a wider release on June 16th.
