The Nike Ja 1 “Hunger” Releases On May 25th

Following the official launch of his first signature silhouette in mid-April, the Nike Ja 1 has been privy to a number of titular ensembles evoking the two-time All-Star’s eccentric style of play. After months filled with first-look imagery, the mismatched aesthetic repeated throughout Morant’s signature lineup now employs its most boastful color blocking to date with vibrantly opposing “Royal Blue” and “University Red” tints.

Aside from the symmetrical placement of jet-black shades across the mid-foot Swoosh, nylon collar trim and orange-speckled Zoom Air midsole, the silhouette’s remaining embellishments render rival hues at each foot. Introduced by a vibrant red base layer attributing the left foot and dark blues consuming the right, everything from the herringbone treads underfoot to the laces and heel tabs replicates the deployment of opposite themes for an unmistakable composition on the court.
