Over the last few decades, the size? Exclusives program has developed dozens of compelling products. Ahead of May 5th, the British retailer has teamed up with the Three Stripes to reimagine the adidas Mexicana in two styles worthy of any Cinco de Mayo celebration.
To the uninformed, the adidas Mexicana debuted in time for the Olympics the North American country hosted in 1968. While developed for performance, the low-top silhouette has garnered attention within the lifestyle space, being seen on and off the terraces over the years. The adidas Originals model shares semblance with other suede options from the 3-Stripes – namely the adidas Gazelle. The Mexicana, however, has historically differentiated itself with vibrant color schemes, and size? continues the trend.
Red, purple, and green and purple, red, and yellow arrangements animate both of size?’s latest work with the Three Stripes. Gum brown bottoms replace the all-white fixtures that typically cushion the shoe. An outline of Mexico is printed across the sockliners, commemorating the silhouette’s name as well as Cinco de Mayo, the holiday celebrating the country’s win over France at the Battle of Puebla in 1862.
Enjoy detailed photography of the pairs ahead. Both styles drop exclusively via size? on Friday, May 5th.
