The adidas Humanrace Samba “Colors By Pharrell” Collection Recalls The “Supercolor” Pack From 2015

Pharrell and adidas have spent the better part of the past few years reimagining the NMD. And though 2023 has started much the same way, soon the newly-appointed Creative Director of Louis Vuitton menswear will be bringing a familiar vision to a much-beloved Original: the Samba.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Pharrell would be returning to the Samba, as a violet-hued colorway had appeared in the hands of select friends of the Three Stripes. Little did we know, however, that said pair was but a single piece of a much larger picture, one painted with a total of six different colors.

Effectively the spiritual successor to the “Supercolor” pack from 2015, the adidas Humanrace Samba “Colors by Pharrell” collection features six monochromatic pairs. Each is a more elevated version of the original indoor classic, boasting a full leather construction whose materials were sourced from none other than ECCO Leather. “We’re instilling high quality materials and craftsmanship back into footwear,” Pharrell stated.

The first installment of the adidas Humanrace Samba “Colors by Pharrell” collection is comprised of six colorways: Yellow, Orange, Pink, Lilac, Red, and the F&F exclusive Green. Ahead of the global launch on May 6th, the two will be holding a pre-launch for the Virgina Beach community at Pharrell’s “SOMETHING IN THE WATER” festival. The Charcoal, White, and Terracotta styles previewed alongside the aforementioned options will be releasing at a later date.
