Jovani Hernandez The ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 debuted in the late 2000s, but it’s found new life over the last three years.
Although the Japanese institution continues to innovate on both the lifestyle and performance fronts, the former category keeps delivering new pairs of the Kayano. Recently, a “Midnight” and “Pure Silver” ensemble appeared on the GEL-cushioned silhouette, injecting a futuristic aesthetic into the 15-year-old design. Deep navy mesh sets the stage for a medley of synthetic panels across the entirety of the upper. Shimmering silver finishes are added to ASICS‘ vector logos on the sidewalls, while structural overlays favor bolder blue and green hues. Underfoot, the robust sole unit features a mostly white and grey ensemble, but some of the upper’s eye-catching flair lands on the outsole.
