With the goal of empowering inner-city skaters from a diverse array of backgrounds across the world, Tobias McIntosh founded Crenshaw Skate Club at just 14 years old. Based in the South Central Los Angeles community which fed his obsession for skating since a young age, the burgeoning brand has most recently added the works of Jordan Brand and the Los Angeles Clippers to its collaborative belt and now is ready to ollie its way onto the banner’s first-ever dual effort with the Nike SB Dunk Low.
An icon in the skating scene for decades, first looks at the puffed-up collar and heavily cushioned silhouette reveal a clad suede base layer, introduced by a dressing of tans while a brushed finish is applied to the faded olive and maroon heel counter. Further exercising the initial pistachio hue along the pre-worn sock liner and tongue trim, the interior tabs dawn the club’s staple building blocks insignia on the left while the right indulges in their core logo in crimson. Accompanied by black and cream block letter branding across the heel, the remaining embellishments have yet to be determined, but a palette comprised of neutrals and pastels is sure to grace the remainder.
While we await further release details and the arrival of official imagery, enjoy a first look at the Crenshaw Skate Club x Nike SB Dunk Low below in the meantime.
For more collaborative efforts, Sacai is coating the Nike Waffle in an entirely woven upper.
