Debuting on the runway at Paris Fashion Week in 2002, Yohji Yamamoto and adidas have since pushed and experimented with the envelope of innovation and design through their collaborative Y-3 collection. Most recently transforming the future of racing 20 years later at the start of 2022, the adidas Y-3 Runner 4D Halo now engages in a duo of opposed dressings.
Mixing tradition and modernization, the widely-popular 4D Halo silhouette blends with the sub-label’s superior craftsmanship, fusing functional embellishments such as the dynamic chord lacing system with tried-and-true PRIMEKNIT tooling. Accompanied by a contrasting all-black ensemble, the tonal application of “Off White” hues mirrors the lower half of its January 15th counterpart, coating everything from the knit upper collar to the 4D printed midsole underfoot. Seldom contrasting does occur, however, with a jet-black triptych of untied threads weaving through the quarter resembling the brand’s staple 3-Stripes.
Currently available for a retail price of $450, enjoy official images of the adidas Y-3 Runner 4D Halo “Off White” below.
