The New Balance 550 is arguably what it is today because of Aime Leon Dore, who brought the basketball oxford back out in a number of coveted, collaborative colorways. And if not for Teddy Santis and his team, it’s likely we wouldn’t have seen the 650 return to the shelves as well, as inline pairs only began to release following a partnership with the much-beloved streetwear label.
Thankfully, modern renditions of the New Balance 650 are very much a reality, with more colorways surfacing almost every month. This pair takes the model’s classic style and color blocking and provides it a more universal, neutral-dominant makeover. Red, blue, and other colorful tones are entirely removed, with black “N” logos and accents instead placed over top the shoe’s white construction. Grey trims are used alongside, appearing across the heel, collar, and outsole.
Enjoy an official look at this upcoming New Balance 650 ahead. A firm release date has not yet surfaced, but it’s likely sizes will be made available on NewBalance.com soon.
In other news, the Bad Bunny adidas Campus Light releases Feb. 25th.
