Salehe Bembury Unveils The Crocs Pollex Slide

Salehe Bembury recently teased the Crocs Pollex Slide.

Firm details of the product haven’t been confirmed by the American designer, but the unreleased silhouette bears close resemblance to his popular clogs design. Unveiled via Instagram, Bembury’s presumed next project with Crocs features fingerprint-inspired cutouts throughout the upper and sole unit. The “Salehe Slides” seemingly use a single piece of Croslite™ plastic, but closer inspection may reveal otherwise. Akin to other footwear collaborations from the New York City-native, the slip-on silhouette enjoys a monochromatic look, likely informed by nature.

By contrast, the Crocs project is a lot sleeker than Salehe Bembury’s Moncler Genius collaboration. No GORE-TEX or Vibram outsoles grace the laceless model. Co-branding is also seemingly kept to a minimum. If price point and accessibility are right, the unreleased slides will form a compelling one-two-punch with the Crocs Pollex Clog, especially given consumers’ increased interest in the category.

No firm release details have been disclosed, but Bembury’s new Crocs design is likely to hit retailers in the summer.
